I fell in love with this song by Gayle from the very first time I heard it, it was so beautiful and fragile. I didn’t want do anything that would upset the delicate balance that the original song possesses, so I set off to see whether I could experiment with a different approach and adding drums, bass and some analogue synths. As will all great songs, this one readily allowed a flowering in a different setting. (Stephen)
